How much can you expect to get at a scrapyard for a Catalytic Converter?

I know the outside is tin, and the inside contains Platinum.

Will scrapyards take the cat as a whole, or do you have to extract the platinum pellets separately?

Why not just call up some scrapyards and end any speculation and guessing? I mean, wouldn't that make the most sense?



The market has crashed for them, I wouldn't expect to get more than 10-20 for a normal car converter, a bit more for larger commercial trucks.

usually you can give them the whole thing and it depends on the condition of it, but every place is different

depending on the cat some as i as 60 , it depends, and bring your id, they will ask for it
