Other than bad catalytic converter, the car is in top condition. Head gasket etc all replaced.|||The computer flashes the light on and off (not a steady on light) when the engine is dumping unburned fuel into the catalytic converter which will ultimately burn it out due to the high combustion temperatures caused by the unburned fuel. See the details in the technical note below. The engine problem must be fixed when a bad catalytic converter is replaced.
