How do you replace the catalytic converter on a 1993 Toyota Camry?

Well I think it is the catalytic converter, my 2.2 liter Camry is an extremely loud car and the noise is coming from the front. Any idea on how much it's going cost fixing it at the shop? Is this possible to fix by myself?|||The catalytic convertor is not a noise reducer, you probably have an exhaust leak around the manifold. The cost depends on the location of the leak, cause of it, and labor rates.|||Take it to an exhaust shop..you could prob do it yourself. but its really hard unless you can get the car high enough to get the 4 bolts off that hold the cat on..

Its prob going ot be like 1 hour of labour. Depending on what the shop you take it to. hour rate is.. so maybe $150 - $300.|||yes but the catalytic converter is all most in the middle of the car. not the front.|||they are welded on but you can cut the pipe and install the cat. and use 2 muffler clamps as long as it don,t leak.|||Take it to an exhaust shop and let them fix it.
