How can i bypass my catalytic converter on my 2000 Chevy Impala?

My catalytic converter on my 2000 chevy impala is rusted to bits and i cant afford a new one. How can i just put in straight pipe without messing up the system?|||Legally you can't bypass it. For a little bit more money if you want to go with a straight pipe, you can have the converter replaced.
