Does a 2.5 inch high flow catalytic converter make the exhaust louder with better sound or loud an annoying?

I have a greddy evo2 exhaust and I ordered a 2.5 inch stainless steel high flow high performance sports catalytic converter, what effect will this have on my car, in terms of soun quality and performance? Also the piping for the catback is 2.5 inches.|||The result will be in less restriction(back pressure) in the exhaust system not in sound.|||A loud deep resonance will likely sound "better" to some and "annoying" to others. Personal preference question.
